Terms of use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

These terms govern the use of Nokko, a service published by Kredy Company (see the legal notice), available through the mobile app, the getnokko.app website and the pages that open when a door is scanned. Using Nokko means accepting them. This translation is provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

The service

Nokko lets the occupant of a home receive messages and calls from visitors through a QR code stuck on the door.

  • The occupant creates an account in the app, adds their home, prints their sticker and sticks it on the door. They can invite the people they live with.
  • The visitor scans the QR code with their phone. A page opens in their browser, with nothing to install, to write or ring.
  • Residents whose address has been verified can join their building’s group.

Nokko is not an emergency service. If you are in danger, call 112.

Account

  • You must be at least 15 years old to create an account.
  • You sign in with your e-mail address and a single-use code. You are responsible for access to that e-mail address.
  • The details in your profile must be accurate. An account is personal.
  • A visitor needs no account, unless the occupant requires one for some reasons. That account is then created on the door page, with an e-mail address and a code.

Price

Nokko is free of charge. If paid features are added, their price and terms will be shown before any payment.

Rules of use

When using Nokko, you agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, insult or intimidate anyone;
  • post or send unlawful, hateful, discriminatory, violent or sexual content;
  • pretend to be someone else;
  • send advertising or bulk messages;
  • try to find out whether an occupant is home, or who they are;
  • get around the service’s limits, checks or blocks, or try door codes at random;
  • stick a Nokko QR code on a door that is not yours without its occupant’s agreement.

The occupant’s commitments

  • You only stick your QR code on a home you live in, in line with your building’s rules.
  • You only invite people who live with you into your household.
  • The proof of address you send is genuine and in your name.
  • If your sticker is torn off or copied, you can create a new code in the app: the old one leads nowhere.

Your building’s group

  • The group is open to residents whose address has been verified by the Nokko team.
  • A president is elected among verified residents. Elections take place on 6 January, 6 April, 6 July and 6 October, and voting lasts 24 hours. In a tie, or if nobody votes, the president is drawn by lot. The first verified resident of a building is its president until the first election.
  • The president may stop a resident from writing for up to 91 days. The suspended person is told, keeps their right to vote and to report, and may challenge the decision with Nokko. The suspension ends if the president loses the next election or if a majority of residents vote to lift it.
  • Any resident may report a message or a neighbour. When several residents report that a neighbour does not live in the building, Nokko asks that neighbour to have their address verified again.

Content

You are responsible for what you write and send. You grant Kredy Company the right to store and pass on your content, solely to run the service and for the periods set out in the privacy policy.

Nokko may remove clearly unlawful content reported to it, block from a home a visitor its household reported, and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

Availability

We do our best to keep Nokko running at all times but cannot guarantee it: maintenance, a provider’s outage or a network failure may interrupt it. A message or a call may not reach you if your notifications are off, if your phone is offline or outside the call hours you chose.

Liability

Kredy Company is not liable for exchanges between users or what follows from them, nor for indirect damage arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Intellectual property

Nokko, its name, logo and software belong to Kredy Company. You may use the app and print your stickers for your own use. Any other reproduction requires our written permission.

Personal data

How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.

Suspension and account deletion

You can delete your account at any time in the app: Account, then Delete my account. Nokko may suspend or close an account for a serious breach of these terms, telling the person concerned whenever possible.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Account holders are told before a significant change takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can delete your account.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If there is a disagreement, write to us first at [email protected] so we can look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts.
