Delete your account
This page explains how to delete your Nokko account, the app published by Kredy Company, and what happens to your data. Deletion is permanent: nothing can be recovered afterwards.
In the app
- Open Nokko. On the Messages screen, tap the account icon at the top right.
- Tap Delete my account.
- Tap Get a confirmation code. A code is sent to your account’s email address.
- Enter the code, then tap Delete permanently. The account is deleted at once.
To keep a copy of your data, first tap Download my data on the same screen.
Without the app
Write to [email protected] from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my Nokko account”. We may ask you to confirm that the address is yours.
We delete the account within one month at most and confirm it by email. The deletion is the same as in the app.
What is deleted
- Your account and your email address.
- Your profile: first name, last name and photo.
- The homes you own, with their QR codes, conversations, messages and calls, including for the members of your household.
- Your place in the households you joined.
- Your place in your building’s group, your votes, your address verification requests and any proof still waiting to be reviewed.
- Your conversations with Nokko support.
- The names you signed when writing to other homes.
- The phones registered for notifications, your sign-in sessions and any copy of your data still waiting to be downloaded.
Deleting your account does not cancel a Gold or Platinum subscription: Google Play or the App Store keep billing it. Cancel it in Google Play, under Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, or in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions.
What is kept
The messages you sent also belong to the people who received them: they stay with them, without your name or photo. This data, and the few records below, are kept for the following periods:
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Messages written to another home, as a visitor or as a member of its household | 1 year after the conversation’s last message, then deleted for everyone |
| Private messages sent to a neighbour | Until that neighbour deletes their own account |
| Messages written in the building’s group | As long as the building’s group exists |
| Deletion confirmation code, with your email address | 1 day |
| Log of the moderation team’s actions, without messages or documents | For as long as the service runs |
If you wrote to a home without creating an account, Nokko does not know who you are and there is no account to delete. Your messages are deleted 1 year after the conversation’s last message, and the contact details left to receive a reply after 90 days.
